About the role

  • Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a pediatric high risk asthma clinic. Working with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient care and outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes
  • Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Communicates with all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care coordination process for specialty
  • Facilitates care via telehealth to assist with patient needs and concerns
  • Engages in ethical practices utilizing principles from The Code of Ethics for Nurses

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) from the American Heart Association within 1 year of employment as required by department
  • Continuous employment as a Clinical Nurse 3 at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta since March 2017 in lieu of Professional Nursing Certification
