Paralegal supporting regulatory and compliance work in a growing Managed Legal Services team. Engaging in varied tasks to deliver quality service across practice areas in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
Managing written and oral communication with third parties
Managing reporting obligations to include updating clients
Drafting documents including pleadings, training materials and client reports
Using persuasive language to negotiate preferable outcomes for clients
Proofreading to ensure consistency across documents
Analysing documents and summarising key legal principles
Reviewing and analysing legal entitlement to documentation
Applying key legal principles to an agreed course of action
Requirements
a minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a similar role
previous experience in a regulatory and compliance role is desirable
previous experience using a case management system
strong IT skills and accurate typing ability
ability to manage and meet deadlines
a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
a high degree of flexibility and initiative along with excellent organisational and prioritising skills; the ability to adapt and manage priorities at short notice is essential
the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
strong business and commercial acumen is desirable
enthusiasm, drive and commitment and to be a strong team player
