About the role

  • Data Pricing Specialist designing and monitoring data solutions for pricing strategies at Allianz Direct. Collaborating closely with business teams to enhance pricing sophistication and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain data pipelines to support pricing and analytics needs.
  • Ensure high data quality, consistency, and accessibility across multiple internal and external sources.
  • Implement monitoring solutions for data integrity and pipeline performance.
  • Support the development of pricing models (risk, demand, elasticity, optimization, LTV, etc.) through data preparation and feature engineering.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to improve model performance and business insights.
  • Industrialize and deploy models into production environments in collaboration with tech and actuarial teams.
  • Identify and integrate new data sources (internal & external) to enhance pricing capabilities.
  • Develop business monitoring tools, KPIs, and dashboards for pricing, underwriting, and data performance tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with Allianz Group’s methodological standards and governance requirements.
  • Partner closely with Pricing, Product, Underwriting, and Business Analytics teams to translate data insights into strategic actions.
  • Present technical results to non-technical stakeholders, bridging the gap between data science and business impact.
  • Drive innovation in data practices, continuously exploring new methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Solid programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience using version control systems (Git).
  • Experience in data engineering tools (ETL/ELT frameworks, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Spark, etc.) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong foundation in machine learning and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization & BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Knowledge of insurance or financial services pricing concepts is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with specialized pricing software (Radar, Earnix, Akur8, Quantee) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to explain complex data insights to diverse stakeholders.
