About the role

  • Guidewire Developer II developing and supporting A360 Guidewire Cloud applications. Responsible for programming, testing, and deploying system functionality within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports A360 Guidewire Cloud application including GW Billing Center, GW Policy Center, GW Producer Engage and GW Contact Manager.
  • Be responsible for the development, design, testing and/or deployment of system functionality.
  • Code instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple applications.
  • Configure packaged software.
  • Provide expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications.
  • Review and validate application technical design of team members to ensure alignment with business needs and best practice architecture principles.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Research and develop techniques for automation.
  • Document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions.
  • Analyze and make recommendations on the need for system backup, security, restart/recovery, balance controls and recommend approaches for meeting such needs.
  • Identify complex errors that occur in application testing and analyze results to troubleshoot and execute root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required: 4 -8 years of experience
  • Needs to be GW certified with GW Certification. BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Additional Preferred Branch(es) of Study: Java; J2EE; COBOL; DB2; SQL Server; Oracle; Guidewire policy center 9.0.5 and 10 development and GOSU language; Certified in AINS 21, Policy center Specialization certificate; PolicyCenter Data model; Guidewire Rating Engine; PolicyCenter Product Model and PolicyCenter integration in GOSU and PCF; Web Service; Batch and Plugin; Hibernate; Spring; Spring JPA; SpringBoot; Application Development; Technical Design Specifications; Scaled Agile; Agile; and Test Driven Development
