About the role

  • Senior Manager for Public Affairs and Communications at J Wray & Nephew overseeing corporate communications and public policy advocacy. Leading strategic initiatives across Jamaica and Caribbean partnership markets.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively shape the image and perception of JWN’s corporate brand
  • Foster strong relationships with policymakers and media representatives
  • Direct JWN’s public response on issues in the public domain
  • Negotiate complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Provide leadership and vision to the Public Affairs function
  • Oversee corporate communications and crisis communication
  • Manage engagement with government agencies and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and NGOs

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of proven public affairs experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing senior-level teams
  • Ability to influence and communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Proven external stakeholder engagement track record
  • Experience in corporate communications
  • Proven leadership experience in nonprofit organizations
  • Familiar with cross-cultural issues
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Familiarity with sustainability, environmental policy, or corporate responsibility is a plus.
  • MBA and a First Degree with major in Public Affairs / International Relations
