About the role

  • Senior Manager in Finance overseeing Brand & Commercial FP&A activities at Campari Group. Position involves leadership and collaboration with JWN Management Team for financial analysis and decision-making in Jamaica.

Responsibilities

  • Primary business partner to JWN leadership team as well as supporting the FP&A team in their cross-functional relationships and driving collaboration across the business
  • Enable the organization with intentional, data-driven, insight-based reporting thereby driving accountability to functional leadership
  • Drive financial sustainability by instilling a P&RG mindset, ensuring accuracy in all reporting, and demonstrating effective asset stewardship
  • Enhance efficiency within the finance function by ensuring that our teams resources are allocated effectively and through influencing the JWN leadership team
  • Ensure effective and consistent communication with functional leaders
  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of the BU strategic and annual planning process to include budgeting and forecast updates in line with the group and regional calendar and model
  • Through the use of effective, transparent and insightful information sharing, influence functional leaders to adopt a P&RG mindset and the behavior “do more with less”
  • Supervise the planning and reporting of the full P&L for the Jamaican Business Unit
  • Identify risks and opportunities and proactively take initiative to resolve issues, mitigate risks and/or exploit opportunities
  • Support in the development of data management, P&RG process, A&P initiative ROI tracking & reporting, and effective commercial spend practices
  • Educate and build your team into successful, well balanced financial professionals with strong understanding of corporate FP&A, IFRS standards, and external market analysis with a consumer first mindset
  • Play an active role in partnering with region including setting expectations, best practice sharing, and internal knowledge transfer
  • Play an active role in integrating local ways of working to accommodate and adopt global reporting standards to simplify our local practices
  • Lead the implementation of global initiatives and tools, building cross functional buy-in where necessary
  • Provide insight and support to contractual agreements across the BU, suggesting and enforcing standard, best practices to simplify the process.
  • Responsible for ensuring the continued development of the FP&A team providing leadership and mentoring, effective team coordination and succession planning.
  • Constantly review capabilities and design of the team and processes, so it evolves as the business evolves.
  • Set appropriate goals and provide timely feedback to challenge employees to perform at higher levels.
  • Attract, select, retain and develop individuals who further the talent agenda of the broader Finance team and who have demonstrated adaptability, ability to work with and influence others with a collaborative, business centric view, taking appropriate risks, builds trust and drives accountability consistent with the values and culture of the department.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in an FP&A or related Analytics function position required
  • 5+ years in progressive leadership experience required
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a Mathematical discipline required
  • Advanced financial modeling experience is required
  • Experience with SAP BW/BPC/SAC/Business Objects or related ERP system required
  • Expert Excel user, experience with Power Query, Python (or other programming languages), Power BI or a similar tool is highly preferred
  • Ability to partner, build relationships and collaborate cross functionally
  • Proven track record of people development experience
  • Proven leadership skills with demonstrated experience driving change across the organization through influencing functional leaders and becoming a true business partner
  • Flexibility to work as necessary to meet tight deadlines and deliver when the business requires
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (i.e. ability to express and defend analysis as well as to summarize & effectively explain complex information)
  • Comfortable working in a high paced work environment and solving problems independently.
