About the role

  • Technical Project Manager at BWF utilizing project management expertise to enhance nonprofit organizations' missions. Managing technical projects and collaborating with internal teams and clients for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively managing day-to-day operations of multiple and complex projects from start to finish including budgets, deliverables, milestones, and required activities; communicating project status with consultants and clients on a regular basis
  • Developing and updating detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for technology related projects
  • Utilizing company tools, software and methodology, as appropriate, for management of all client projects
  • Collaborating with consulting team members and clients to gather requirements for the creation of both internal and client-facing documentation and reports, data analysis benchmarking, and other project specific deliverables
  • Monitoring project scope and ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with the statement of work (SOW), project plan and client expectations, initiating discussion related to scope and change orders when necessary
  • Assisting in the development and documentation of processes and procedures as they relate to the PMO team and project management at the company
  • Identifying and escalating potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
  • Participating and providing leadership in company initiatives and special projects as directed
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Working knowledge of project management methodology
  • Formal project management training or certification is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience managing technical focused projects, from initiation to completion
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software and use of CRM Software
  • Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, and budgets effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and with a team toward a common goal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, and interpersonal skills; initiative and follow-through; sound discretion and judgment
  • Commitment to an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector a plus.
