About the role

  • IT Project Manager optimizing delivery of high value investment products for Fidelity clients. Collaborating with squads and driving continuous improvement in agile practices.

Responsibilities

  • Play a crucial role in optimizing the delivery of high value products and services to customers.
  • Work directly on dedicated squads to implement and improve agile practices, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Advise on process to optimize flow and expedite delivery of value by the squad(s).
  • Optimize delivery of complex initiatives by advising on scaling techniques, lead dependency management, and organizing teams around the workstream(s).
  • Enable the team(s) to release with confidence and in support of a positive client experience.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the products/services owned by the squad and ensure that work is aligned with business strategy.
  • Ensure the team’s data is correct, complete, and compliant so it can be used to make data-driven decisions.
  • Achieve proficiency in the use of the Fidelity tools and reporting ecosystem and encourage/teach others on trends, patterns for decision-making purposes.
  • Manage the relationship with dependent partners and align needed activities.
  • Enable healthy team dynamics through trusted partnerships and conflict resolution.
  • Earn a seat at the leadership table by being a valued consultant for dealing with complex problems, offer insight/analysis on strategic options, and proactively help realize outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a dedicated IT Project Manager or Scrum Master role.
  • Deep expertise in multiple agile, project management methodologies and scaling frameworks.
  • Experience with project management delivery concepts and application.
  • Experience with risk mitigation techniques and managing quality control.
  • Experience with agile project management tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Align, Confluence).
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
