Responsibilities
Focus on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on coastal engineering related to waves, tides, and erosion.
Coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on less complex projects.
Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects, including shoreline protection and flood mitigation.
Perform coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate waves, tides, storm surge, and sediment transport.
Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports in support of civil works projects.
Support permitting and regulatory coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader infrastructure programs.
Provide engineering support during construction, including reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.
Contribute to coastal resilience, risk reduction, and climate adaptation initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries
Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship
Owns the architecture and optimization of the Snowflake platform at EXL. Designing AI capabilities for analytics and partnering across teams to deliver data products.
