About the role

  • Commissioning Engineer specializing in steam and gas turbines at Bureau Veritas. Responsible for installation and commissioning of turbines and auxiliary systems with a focus on performance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of steam or gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
  • Installation and commissioning of turbine alignment & casing, lube oil, seal oil, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform rolling, synchronization & initial operation.
  • Monitor vibration and balance turbines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8–10 years experience in commissioning of steam or gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
  • Hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of:
  • Turbine alignment & casing installation
  • Lube oil, seal oil, and hydraulic systems
  • Rolling, synchronization & initial operation
  • Vibration monitoring & turbine balancing
  • Familiar with OEM procedures and ASME standards for rotating equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability during turbine start-up and trial operation.
  • Experience in performance testing/reporting is an advantage.
