About the role
- Commissioning Engineer specializing in steam and gas turbines at Bureau Veritas. Responsible for installation and commissioning of turbines and auxiliary systems with a focus on performance testing.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning of steam or gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
- Installation and commissioning of turbine alignment & casing, lube oil, seal oil, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform rolling, synchronization & initial operation.
- Monitor vibration and balance turbines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in commissioning of steam or gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
- Hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of:
- Turbine alignment & casing installation
- Lube oil, seal oil, and hydraulic systems
- Rolling, synchronization & initial operation
- Vibration monitoring & turbine balancing
- Familiar with OEM procedures and ASME standards for rotating equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting ability during turbine start-up and trial operation.
- Experience in performance testing/reporting is an advantage.
