About the role

  • Electrical Commissioning Engineer responsible for testing and commissioning power plants and industrial facilities. Requires substantial experience and proficiency in electrical systems and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical commissioning for power plants or large industrial facilities.
  • Testing and commissioning of generators, transformers, LV/MV/HV switchgear.
  • Reading SLDs, wiring diagrams, and electrical testing standards.
  • Perform various electrical tests including primary and secondary injection, insulation resistance, and hipot tests.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards during testing & commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot issues during energization and start-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Control).
  • Minimum 5–7 years experience in electrical commissioning for power plants or large industrial facilities.
  • Proficient in testing and commissioning of generators, transformers, LV/MV/HV switchgear, protection relays, MCC, UPS, etc.
  • Skilled in reading SLDs, wiring diagrams, and electrical testing standards.
  • Hands-on experience with primary injection, secondary injection, insulation resistance test, hipot test, and other test equipment.
  • Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards for electrical testing & commissioning.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills during energization and start-up.
