About the role

  • Financial Expert overseeing financial management activities for a railway infrastructure project. Responsibilities include audits, reporting, financial planning, and training of project staff.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and regular update of the Annual Disbursement Plan based on the project cash flow forecast.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting disbursement requests to the project lenders.
  • Provide training to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) on disbursement procedures and financial documentation.
  • Support the preparation and management of Project Accounts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project financial audits and follow up on audit findings.
  • Prepare financial inputs for Quarterly Progress Reports and other required reports under the Finance Agreements.
  • Monitor project expenditures and prepare financial projections for the upcoming six months.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management, preferably in large infrastructure or public works projects.
  • Experience working on projects financed by Multilateral Development Banks is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial procedures related to construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in preparing disbursement applications, project accounts, and financial reports.
