About the role

  • Financial Accountant preparing tax matters and compliance for Bureau Veritas. Collaborating with corporate finance team while handling various tax and compliance lodgements.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of all tax matters and compliance
  • Perform monthly BAS control checks and lodgement
  • Prepare bi-monthly NZ GST lodgements and control checks
  • Perform yearly FBT preparation and collection of required information
  • Preparation of draft group income tax return including CBC report
  • Prepare various other tax and compliance lodgements
  • Support with the preparation of Annual and Half Year Statutory Financial Accounts
  • Assist in intercompany recharges and reconciliation
  • Assist with the information to be provided to the external/internal auditors
  • Assist in preparing tax provisions and compliance reporting to HO

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • At least 5 years relevant accounting experience
  • Self-starter attitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally someone with Tax background
