About the role

Responsibilities

  • Control, analyze and report objective, strategic information based on accounting data in order to provide tools for planning, control and decision-making;
  • Monitor controls and ensure alignment with current accounting standards, reflecting changes in controls, processes and internal regulations to maintain correct accounting in accordance with accounting principles;
  • Manage the preparation process of the Financial Statements, interacting with involved departments, Executive Board, External Audit, Fiscal Council and Audit Committee to ensure publication in accordance with legal requirements;
  • Ensure that goals, projects and implementations developed by the teams are aligned with strategy and delivered in the agreed manner and within agreed deadlines;
  • Manage audit activities, providing all requested supporting documentation, guiding and clarifying any queries to facilitate verification of all information in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Manage, map and validate records in accordance with applicable accounting rules (BR GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS) through controls, aiming to keep all activities in compliance;
  • Drive continuous improvement of routines and processes, educating and monitoring application of policies, standards and internal procedures to mitigate/control risks, ensure compliance and maintain the quality of work and services delivered;
  • Lead, coach, mentor, train, develop, motivate, evaluate and positively influence the team, inspiring credibility and trust;
  • Serve shareholders and provide support for any inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with active CRC (Brazilian professional accounting registration);
  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in Finance preferred;
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Databricks and/or process automation tools;
  • Good interpersonal skills, proactivity, analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation;
  • Management of financial and operational risks related to activities under your responsibility;
  • Strong argumentation, negotiation and communication skills;
  • Recognized as a leader and team developer;
  • Sense of urgency;
  • English proficiency.
