Responsibilities
You develop quickly deployable, cloud-native software solutions for mission and aerospace systems in interdisciplinary teams.
Your focus is on rapid implementation of new capabilities, from concept through prototype to integration into operational systems.
You bring innovative technologies to where they make a real difference.
Design, development and integration of cloud-native prototypes and scalable software solutions for mission and defense systems on cloud, edge, and hybrid platforms.
Integration of containerized applications into distributed, cloud-native mission architectures, and support for migrating legacy systems to modern cloud and container architectures.
Building, evolving and automating platform and deployment processes using CI/CD, DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code.
Analyzing operational requirements in close collaboration with engineers, program managers and customers to ensure purpose-driven, integrable solution development.
Evaluating, selecting and integrating new technologies to rapidly deliver new capabilities in the context of Rapid Capability Delivery.
Conducting tests, validations and performance analyses to ensure operational readiness and performance of the developed solutions.
Training and supporting other teams and sharing knowledge and skills to promote scalable and sustainable development and operations processes.
Requirements
Degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience in developing and integrating software-based systems in flight simulation, avionics, edge computing, or safety-critical platforms.
Knowledge of model-based development approaches (MBSE), systems engineering, and V-model-based development processes.
Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or C++, and experience with modern software development practices such as GitOps and automated build and deployment pipelines.
Experience with cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring and observability solutions.
Proficiency with Linux and experience automating complex development and operations environments.
Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and distributed systems is a plus.
Experience with agile development methods and collaboration tools such as Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence.
Ability to quickly analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent written and spoken English.
