Marketing Trainee position at a children's book publisher involves various marketing and organizational tasks. Focusing on catalog management, project coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities
Catalog management & process coordination: You will support the entire semi-annual catalog cycle — from planning and building the catalog pages (including the backlist) to the final handover to production.
Project management & organization: You will coordinate between various departments and act as the central communication point within the company — a proactive organizer with a good overview.
Communication with external partners: You will work closely with external service providers such as printers, display manufacturers, lettershops, proofreaders and other partners.
Trade marketing: Together with the sales team, you will help develop and design sales displays and furniture for the book trade.
Budget responsibility: You will learn how to plan and monitor budgets and will gradually take on more responsibility.
Teamwork and mentoring: You will work closely with an experienced marketing manager who will guide you, mentor you and support your professional development.
Requirements
A completed university degree or vocational training, ideally with a focus on marketing or communications
First practical experience (e.g. internships, working student positions) is a plus but not required
Enthusiasm for organization, planning and structured processes
Carefulness, reliability and a good sense of timing and deadlines
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Interest in the book trade and in marketing processes
Confident use of common Office programs (Microsoft 365, Teams)
