About the role

  • Digital Fundraising/Marketing specialist enhancing fundraising campaigns at SOS Mediterranee. Join a humanitarian organization working to save lives in the Mediterranean Sea.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement digital fundraising measures and campaigns to acquire one-off and regular donors.
  • Further develop the email program, including newsletters, campaigns and automated workflows.
  • Develop and run advertising campaigns for lead generation and direct fundraising via Meta, Google and other advertising channels.
  • Regular reporting and analysis of fundraising program performance for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ongoing management of external agencies, freelancers and other service providers.
  • Continuous monitoring of performance and budgets.
  • Additional tasks may be added over time.

Requirements

  • A passion for human rights and migration policy, and a desire to use your professional skills to help save lives.
  • University degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Informatics (Information Systems) or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in online, performance, digital fundraising or other B2C marketing.
  • Experience managing multiple digital marketing channels to run multichannel campaigns with a focus on revenue generation.
  • Significant experience in at least one specific digital channel, e.g.: website, social ads, CRM/email, display, SEA (search engine advertising), etc.
  • Strong practical knowledge of relevant tools, e.g.: Webflow, Brevo, Google Ads Manager, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Meta Ads Manager, or similar tools such as WordPress, HubSpot, Matomo, etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience in reporting, analysis and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Very good knowledge of standard office software (especially MS 365) and fundraising databases / CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Start-up mindset — you enjoy exploring new approaches and finding creative solutions.
