Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and day-to-day management of suppliers
- Engage with supply chain to monitor and improve supplier performance
- Serve as Equipment Manager for multiple sub assemblies
- Communicate program status, key risks, issues, and opportunities to customers and leadership
- Develop clear, compliant supplier statements of work (SSOW) for ongoing and new requirements
- Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements
- Generate an effective set of metrics to communicate status of contract deliverables
- Manage program deliverables by tracking issues and opportunities
- Resolve technical problems by coordinating between engineering, operations, and suppliers
- Support proposal development efforts including competitive cost estimating
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
- 3 or more years of related work experience
- 5 or more years of experience as a systems engineer with technical knowledge on aircraft subsystems (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Experience managing supplier performance and/or requirements flow-down
- Up to 20% travel required
