Responsibilities
- Leads the identification, analysis and documentation of requirements for network transport technologies and services
- Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of the networks to ensure reliable and secure connectivity
- Creates, implements, maintains and documents basic network designs that conform to architectural and security standards
- Supports component/equipment research
- Collects data to provide project cost estimates
- Leads and coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects
- Facilitates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements
- Diagnose and resolve network problems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
- Experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocols
- Security+ Certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements) preferred
