About the role

  • Engineering Sr. Skill Leader developing strategies for talent acquisition and workforce optimization at Boeing. Leading skill management initiatives and optimizing staffing across engineering roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the development and execution of strategies by working with senior and executive cross-functional leaders
  • Manage skill team activities as the functional skill-team leader for multiple SJC/SMCs in the SPEEA contract
  • Drive initiatives & deployment from FCE office to upskill and retain BGS Engineering employees
  • Provide solutions and recommendations by interpreting, analyzing, and integrating applicable internal and external data and metrics
  • Develop and leverage key strategic relationships to participate in short-term and long-term business planning
  • Work with other workforce strategy and skill leaders to implement and develop consistent processes and mechanisms for prioritizing work and deploying employees for short-term staffing surges
  • Partner with Global Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Finance, and Program Focals to optimize staffing and prioritize needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience managing people either directly or indirectly
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with senior or executive leadership
  • 5+ years of experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
