Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and improve Aviation Operational Efficiency Software products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations
Work within an Agile team setting, driving Epic/Feature/Story creation and solution design
Earn respect of Scrum teams, Scrum Masters, Technical Architect, Release Train Manager, Business teams, customers and stakeholders
Independently execute & deliver on the backlog
Align the technical roadmap, System Design with teams in international locations
Create and maintain software design and architecture documentation
Reduce technical debt
Research and recommend new system requirements to improve product capabilities
Travel domestically and internationally as required
Requirements
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 to 16 years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 11 to 15 years') related in computer science, aerospace or other closely related field.
Experience in Flight Management Systems and Aircraft performance computation/optimization, Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics.
Experience with Matlab/Python scripting
Experience in Machine learning and data analytics
Experience in Deep Learning and Neural Network models
Experience Flight Plan/Optimization, Aircraft Fuel planning and optimization, expertise in Lateral and Vertical flight planning, Air Traffic Management.
Experience related to EFB/Flight Deck applications
Experience related to Aircraft Performance computation/optimization, Tail Specific Performance computations using big data analytics, AI/ML, Agentic AI, and modeling.
Familiarity with airplane avionics, network protocols and airplane system integration
Excellent verbal and written English, including grammar
Problem Solving Identifies critical issues with ease
Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products
Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones
