About the role

  • Student role in battery research and system integration within dynamic BMW Group teams. Involves analysis, simulation, and development in practical automotive applications.

Responsibilities

  • You will support us in analyzing and defining requirements for system integration.
  • You will also help investigate different types of leakage currents and assess their impact on the overall system.
  • In addition, you will contribute to developing concepts for active compensation of operational leakage currents.
  • You will also assist with circuit simulations and the optimization of system parameters.
  • With your support, we will build a laboratory prototype to validate the results.
  • You will verify the system functionality through measurements on vehicles in real-world operation.
  • Finally, you will validate the developed solutions under real-world conditions.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field.
  • Interest in battery technology, power electronics, and hands-on laboratory work.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS).
  • Initial experience with measurement equipment and power electronics.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Good German and English language skills.
