Responsibilities
Organizes and supports the peripheral services for pharmacy operations
Ensures integrity and reliability of day to day operations
Provides ground support, quality management, logistical support, and counselling
Troubleshoots disturbances with pharmacy management systems, automated robotics, computer hardware, etc.
Supports change initiatives and acquisition of technical and logistical knowledge of multiple systems
Conducts comprehensive audit of new systems/products and staff training
Regularly evaluate pharmacy automation for optimal performance
Develops reports to monitor drug usage patterns
Responsible for software upgrade of pharmacy information systems
Inspects multi-site management systems for transaction failures
Connect with healthcare teams to maintain reliable operations
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy by hire date
Must have national certification (CPT) from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)
Four years of pharmacy experience or two years of pharmacy experience and two years of logistic and supply chain management preferred
Experience with pharmacy management systems, automated robotics, pharmacy regulation, purchasing, inventory control, and drug reporting preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, technical acumen and communicative virtuosity is needed.
Must have a strong understanding pharmacy related domains and business processes.
Must maintain competency in all areas of outpatient pharmacy.
Must be proficient with computers, including hardware software and peripherals.
