Responsibilities

  • Serve as the agency’s budget officer, guiding the full budget lifecycle from development to ongoing monitoring
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the agency’s budget
  • Deliver advanced fiscal analysis that informs strategic planning
  • Assess financial trends and their impacts
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations

Requirements

  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in budget preparation, analysis, and administration
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field may substitute for three years of experience
  • Graduate-level degree may substitute for four of the six years
  • Full life-cycle budgeting expertise
  • Advanced skills in budget development, execution, expenditure monitoring, and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel expertise, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Ability to translate raw data into clear presentations
  • Experience with State or Comparable Financial Systems
  • Advanced analytical and fiscal modeling skills
  • Effective communication of financial information in formal settings
  • Exceptional documentation and organizational skills
  • Collaborative and customer-service-oriented approach
