About the role

  • Consultant in energy market operations focusing on strategic innovation projects at BIP. Collaborating with various stakeholders in a dynamic environment to drive positive transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Critical analysis of regulations and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ANEEL, CCEE, ONS) related to the opening of the energy market and their operational and strategic impacts;
  • Surveying, mapping and analysis of processes related to operations in the regulated and free energy markets, identifying gaps against the reference model;
  • Conducting interviews with executives, technical specialists and regulatory teams to gather perceptions, current practices and institutional limitations;
  • Performing sectoral benchmarking with market participants (energy retailers/commercializers, distribution companies, consultancies and associations) to identify best practices, differentiation opportunities and regulatory barriers;
  • Consolidating the main diagnostic findings into structured presentations, identifying improvement opportunities and proposals to advance maturity;
  • Preparing a regulatory adherence matrix, considering the trend toward opening of the Brazilian energy market;
  • Supporting the development of an action plan for the company’s institutional and regulatory adaptation, defining initiatives, owners, deadlines and dependencies;
  • Developing executive materials (e.g., summaries, committee presentations, technical reports) with clarity, concision and strategic guidance;
  • Continuous interaction with internal and external stakeholders, practicing active listening, clear communication and a critical view of the regulatory context;
  • Supporting project management by contributing to scope control, scheduling, risk management and critical deliverables to ensure alignment with the client’s objectives;
  • Assisting other consultants on the team with analyses, material reviews and preparation for executive meetings.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical ability and structured reasoning, with skill to interpret data and convert it into relevant insights;
  • Strategic mindset, able to connect regulatory challenges to business priorities and risks;
  • Awareness of customer experience considerations to connect with challenges related to the opening of the energy market;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clarity in formulating arguments and producing executive materials;
  • Autonomy and maturity to conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders at different hierarchical levels;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
  • Experience in diagnostic projects, benchmarking, maturity models, process improvement or organizational review within companies or institutions in the energy sector;
  • Residence in São Paulo preferred.
