Responsibilities
You support, advise, and connect agricultural enterprises with pig farms
You conduct training events and participate in projects related to pigs
Guidance, advisory services, and networking for pig farms
Participation in pig-farming projects, e.g. GeSchwInD conversion advisory services for pig farms
Recruitment of pig-owning farms for Bioland
Design and delivery of educational events
Preparation of farm business analyses
Writing technical information for member farms and participation in specialist committees and trade fairs
Interface to marketers of organic pigs
Requirements
Strong affinity for organic farming, ideally with practical experience
Enthusiasm for all topics related to pigs
Degree in Agricultural Sciences (FH/University), a master farmer qualification, or an equivalent qualification
Ideally some first experience in agricultural advisory services
Confident manner, good communication skills, and a good rapport with farmers
Enjoyment of organizing a variety of event formats
Independent and structured way of working
Enjoyment of sharing knowledge through presentations and articles
Willingness to travel for work (valid driver’s license required) for advisory work, projects, and events
