About the role

  • Project Manager leading and supporting Federal and DOE projects in Oak Ridge, TN. Managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Federal and Department of Energy (DOE) projects from initiation through completion
  • Responsible for managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal regulations, contract requirements, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
  • Lead licensing teams and manage the completion of various regulatory work scopes
  • Plan, execute, and manage projects in accordance with contract requirements and organizational standards
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage project scope, change control, risk, and issue resolution
  • Track project performance and report status, risks, and milestones to leadership and clients
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, DOE, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder communications
  • Support procurement activities and subcontractor oversight
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including documentation and lessons learned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • 3–10 years of project management experience supporting technical, engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk in a regulated environment
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • 10+ years of project management experience for preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting Federal, DOE, or other government agency projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
  • Strong knowledge of Federal contracting, compliance, and project controls
  • PMP certification, PE license, or ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
