Market Development Director managing KOL relationships for a biotech firm focused on rare diseases. Collaborating across functions and assisting in the development of marketing strategies and advocacy.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and Key Health Systems
Drive UT and brand advocacy
Collaborate with other functions to plan and coordinate interactions with KOLs
Develop a business plan aligned with achieving goals and objectives
Initiate and lead meetings with regional, field-based functions to identify key issues and trends
Gather feedback and intel in region to inform KOL mapping, regional strategy, annual brand planning, and other initiatives
Attend relevant Advisory Boards & market research events
Provide project KOL recommendations and facilitate KOL engagements
Liaise between key accounts and UT to provide on-the-ground perspective
Assist in development and delivery of speaker programs
Work effectively with corporate compliance team to ensure appropriate policy application
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of experience in sales, marketing or other commercial business role in the medical or pharmaceutical industry, with a Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in sales, marketing or other commercial business role in the medical or pharmaceutical industry, with a Master's degree
2+ years of experience working KOLs
Ability to work cross-functionally, build strong relationships, understand and execute brand and franchise strategy as well as manage projects to hit key deliverables
Excellent communication, (written and oral) presentation and strong interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and results-driven
Ability to travel up to 70%
