About the role
- Legal Counsel at Betclic managing contracts and providing legal support in a fast-paced environment. Collaborating with internal teams on various legal matters related to sports betting and gaming.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts (sponsorship, brand ambassador, partnership, affiliate, etc.) and legal documents related to the company’s operations
- Oversee contract execution in close collaboration with the marketing teams
- Provide legal support to group projects and advise internal teams on any legal matters
- Contribute to the management of the group’s digital projects
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory changes applicable to the group’s activities (contract law, commercial law, digital regulations, etc.)
- Manage pre-litigation cases in collaboration with external counsel
- Contribute to the training and awareness of operational teams and central functions on legal and regulatory constraints related to our business
Requirements
- Master’s degree (Master II) in Business Law / Contract Law
- 3-4 years of experience in an international environment (experience abroad is a plus)
- Strong expertise in contract law, commercial law, negotiation of different types of contracts
- Knowledge and/or expertise in Advertising Law, Intellectual Property, and Consumer Law
- Knowledge of Sports Law is a plus
- Methodical, rigorous, organized, and capable of analyzing and synthesizing complex issues
- Collaborative, flexible, business-oriented, and recognized for strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
