- Senior System Administrator responsible for server and network infrastructure at Bergzeit. Involves administration, backup, and supporting on-prem resources with a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Administration, maintenance and further development, backup and monitoring of the server and network infrastructure (Active Directory, HCI clusters, Hyper‑V servers, site WANs, Veeam Backup)
- Contributing to architecture decisions and providing technical advice within the team
- Managing the on-premises infrastructure using Microsoft Configuration Manager
- Supporting, administering and validating specialized/business applications
- Creating documentation for the internal knowledge base
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT administration
- Strong knowledge in several of the following areas: Windows Server, virtualization (Hyper‑V/VMware), Active Directory, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Veeam Backup
- Experience with IT security, backup strategies and access/permission management concepts
- Independent, structured and detail-oriented working style
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Confident communication in German and English with various stakeholders
