About the role

  • Einkäufer/Produktmanager for Bergzeit responsible for brand positioning and market trends analysis. Collaborating with teams to optimize product selection in the outdoor sector.

Responsibilities

  • You contribute significantly to the positioning and further development of the brands in your area of responsibility within the Bergzeit assortment.
  • You analyze market trends, competitors and customer needs to make well-founded decisions about assortment planning.
  • You independently participate in producers' collection meetings and purchasing association meetings to proactively represent and implement Bergzeit’s interests.
  • You are responsible for budget allocation within special productions, taking into account the interests of our customers and the company.
  • You manage sales, margin and inventory development for your area of responsibility and derive actions to optimize performance.
  • You work with the merchandising, retail and marketing teams to strategically plan and track campaigns and product placements.
  • You are independently responsible for product selection in your area of equipment/apparel/footwear with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and brand strategy.
  • You attend trade shows and supplier meetings to identify new trends and to strengthen and expand the network.
  • You continuously optimize procurement and supplier management processes, especially with regard to efficiency.

Requirements

  • You have completed training as a retail business specialist (Handelsfachwirt), a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring several years of experience in purchasing, category, brand or product management, ideally in the sport or outdoor sector.
  • You have strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking and a good sense for brand management and market trends.
  • You have excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint and ideally experience with BI tools and ERP systems.
  • You present yourself confidently and reliably and can communicate with suppliers on an equal footing.
  • You have a passion for KPIs and numbers, as well as for mountain sports.
  • You demonstrate a high level of initiative, team spirit and strategic thinking.
