Member Consultant II delivering high-quality member experience and expertise in financial services at BECU. Identifying consumer financial needs and facilitating access to specialized services.
Responsibilities
Deliver a seamless and high-quality member experience
Identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary
Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services
Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales in various areas including business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts
Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center
Assist the community with financial wellness including financial education programs, budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
One year of experience in a financial institution (desired qualification)
Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs
Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered
Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with members
Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
Ability to work flexible shifts
