About the role

  • Associate Director, Workforce Strategy supporting students' career outcomes at Braven, a nonprofit helping college students secure jobs. Managing strategy and coaching for career success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop vision and strategy to support Fellows in securing internships and strong post-college career outcomes
  • Manage progress-to-goals tracking/reporting for student internship/job attainment
  • Manage and analyze student-level and program data for support interventions
  • Lead the annual Jobs Campaign for strong post-college opportunities
  • Provide strategic 1:1 career coaching for Fellows
  • Build relationships at Kean University to understand opportunities for referrals
  • Leverage connections with Employer Partners to source opportunities
  • Develop and implement a strategy to build a regional Fellow community
  • Create, plan, and execute events for Fellows
  • Collaborate with the Career Communities team for skills development workshops
  • Facilitate quarterly Employer Partner meetings for employment opportunities
  • Attend Learning Labs for Fellow engagement and potential facilitation
  • Manage a Workforce Development intern and/or coordinator
  • Source Fellows for internships
  • Support selections for Braven publications and events
  • Collaborate across teams to reach Braven’s ambition
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with college students
  • 5+ years of experience in a manager or director-level role (preferred)
  • Track record of success in managing complex relationships and projects (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in early career coaching (preferred)
  • Experience in higher education or workforce strategy (preferred)
  • Ability to build an inspiring vision and strategy that motivates others to action (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on both small details and the big picture (preferred)
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder relationships (preferred)
  • Ability to reflect and create space for upward feedback (preferred)
  • Alignment with Braven’s core values and mission (preferred)
