About the role

  • Director responsible for all aspects of BEAM’s New York-based program. Aiming to provide impactful education to underserved students in STEM.

Responsibilities

  • Set SMART program goals to deliver an impactful, high quality program that meets the needs of the community
  • Ensure the program has fidelity to BEAM's model and processes
  • Promote a nurturing and positive work environment to foster respectful working relationships among staff and students.
  • Assign staff responsibilities, develop workflows, and supervise the execution of all required program projects and tasks as needed.
  • Assist program managers through effective communication and collaboration, coordinating people, resources, and tools to help them overcome barriers to success.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, setting priorities, guiding and keeping staff accountable for their job performance.
  • Cultivate staff career development to meet the program's needs including short/long term goals.
  • Engage in effective collaboration cross departmentally with Advancement, Business Operations, Central Program, and Los Angeles programs teams.
  • In collaboration with Central Program teams, lead initiatives at a local level that improve outcomes for the program’s students and alumni.
  • Contribute toward the design, implementation, and evaluation of new policies, procedures, and resources as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, donors and corporate partners and other local stakeholders within the community to further collaborative initiatives with the organization.
  • Monitor the overall successes of program and program participants through the organization’s database and case management system.
  • Manage team’s compliance with central office program requirements and policies, including but not limited to program module implementation, temp staff evaluations, data collection and reporting.
  • Oversee programs admission and registration processes, including school partner relationship management, student application processing, planning recruiting events
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are being met in all program delivery.
