About the role

  • Assistant General Counsel providing strategic legal advice for BD’s businesses in EMEA region. Overseeing contracts, compliance, litigation, and collaboration with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior strategic legal advisor to BD’s businesses, manufacturing sites, and functional leaders
  • Advise regional and BU leadership on high-impact commercial matters, strategic initiatives, and complex projects
  • Lead, oversee, and handle all legal affairs for BD and its subsidiaries in C&EE
  • Supervise, guide, and influence the handling of litigation and conflict resolution matters
  • Foster close collaboration with corporate functions and participate actively in Law Group and enterprise-wide initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified to practice law in Germany, Switzerland, or Austria
  • At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in major law firms or international companies
  • Expertise in business counseling, contract negotiation, antitrust laws, and litigation
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Collaborative, strategic, and capable of working autonomously in a complex matrix structured global business
