Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems and derive viable solution approaches together with business units and development teams
  • Elicit, structure and refine requirements (e.g., interviews, workshops, use cases, story mapping)
  • Design functional solutions and formulate clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
  • Model business processes and system relationships (e.g., BPMN, UML)
  • Apply object-oriented analysis and modeling methods
  • Translate business requirements into actionable specifications for development teams
  • Perform quality assurance of functional concepts and consistency checks of requirements
  • Facilitate workshops and mediate between business stakeholders and development
  • Support client Product Owners with backlog structuring and refinement

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Business Analyst (m/f/d) in software projects
  • Solid knowledge of requirements engineering and analysis and modeling methods
  • Experience with UML, BPMN, or comparable modeling approaches
  • Understanding of basic software architecture and software development processes
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, precise way of working
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Confident presence and strong communication skills
  • Fluent German (C1), as many customer requirements are in German
  • Nice to have: Experience on projects with the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) or in the public sector
  • Experience with quality assurance of functional concepts, test design, or acceptance procedures
  • Knowledge of Model Driven Architecture (MDA) or software architecture
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or modeling tools
