About the role
- Junior Einkäufer supporting selection, evaluation and management of suppliers at BARFER'S. Assisting in purchasing processes and collaborating with various departments for a sustainable pet food supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Support in selecting, evaluating and managing suppliers
- Assist with claims handling (e.g., documenting deviations, forwarding to suppliers)
- Request and compare quotes; prepare price comparisons
- Place purchase orders and monitor delivery dates
- Maintain purchasing and item master data in the ERP system
- Support price negotiations and contract finalization
- Analyze purchase prices, costs and market trends
- Work closely with production, logistics and quality assurance
- Support optimization of procurement processes
- Contribute to supplier development and sustainability projects
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade clerk) or a business-related degree
- Initial professional experience in purchasing or a comparable role is an advantage
- Confident user of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics or similar)
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Analytical mindset, negotiation skills and strong communication abilities
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Team player with a strong commitment
