Data & Analytics Lead overseeing BARFER’S analytics strategy and leading a team. Ensuring data quality, driving insights for Marketing, Product, Finance, and Management.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve BARFER’S Data & Analytics strategy across Marketing, Commercial, and Operations
Lead, mentor, and develop up to 2 Analytics Engineers / Data Analysts
Act as the primary sparring partner for Marketing, Management, and other business teams
Ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines and models in our modern stack (Airbyte, dbt, BigQuery)
Oversee tracking and attribution setups (GTM, GA4, Google Ads, Meta, Shopify, Klaviyo)
Translate business goals into KPIs, metrics, and actionable insights
Drive advanced analytics initiatives such as attribution modeling, cohort and retention analysis, experimentation, and forecasting
Define and maintain data quality standards, governance, and best practices
Build and review dashboards and reports for operational teams and leadership (Metabase, BigQuery, GA4, Looker Studio)
Make data accessible and understandable — turning complexity into clarity
Requirements
4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Analytics Engineering
Proven experience leading projects and mentoring or managing team members
Strong SQL skills; extensive experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
Solid understanding of marketing and growth analytics (GA4, GTM, paid channels, attribution)
Experience with Shopify-based D2C data is a strong plus
Comfortable working closely with stakeholders and translating business questions into data solutions
Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach
Bonus: Python experience and interest in advanced analytics or data science
German language skills: at least B1
