About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce substantiation reports for marine solutions throughout all design lifecycle phases.
- Liaise with design teams and stakeholders to ensure coordination and functionality of system designs.
- Develop innovative design solutions with robust engineering substantiation.
- Provide solutions to manufacturing and installation issues by resolving technical and production queries.
- Support design reviews and ensure compliance with recognised standards.
Requirements
- Proven naval architecture design experience from a highly regulated industry.
- Proficiency with analytical software such as Paramarine, NAPA, FORAN, Maxsurf, FEA, CFD and/or CAD.
- Experience contributing to design reviews.
- Ideally degree-qualified in an engineering discipline (HND/HNC with extensive experience considered).
- Membership of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst) and Chartered or Incorporated status (or working towards).
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
