About the role

  • Mechanical Engineer at Cavendish Nuclear working on clean-energy and civil decommissioning projects. Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team to enhance plant performance and improve engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Driving effective collaboration across engineering and project delivery teams
  • Acting as a technical interface with customers, suppliers, and wider stakeholders
  • Conducting technical investigations and analysis to improve designs and resolve issues
  • Ensuring correct application of engineering codes, standards, and safety requirements
  • Supporting development of design specifications, models, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical or engineering discipline
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and strong knowledge of general engineering drawing practice
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships with key stakeholders
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing approaches.
