Responsibilities

  • Strengthening environmental assurance across a global organisation
  • Lead environmental assurance assessments, audits, and compliance checks across UK and international sites
  • Support and enhance the Group’s approach to environmental protection
  • Provide expert environmental management guidance across the organisation
  • Develop and deliver initiatives that drive compliance and continuous improvement
  • Analyse complex environmental data and prepare insightful reporting for stakeholders

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience in environmental management and environmental legislation
  • Knowledge of international regulatory requirements
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • Leading site and portfolio level environmental compliance reviews
  • Managing key environmental controls and procedures (waste management, pollution prevention, spill response, etc.)
  • Strong ability to manage, interrogate, and analyse complex data sets
  • Excellent communication skills and experience preparing high‑quality written reports
  • Degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Membership of ISEP or an equivalent professional body
  • Recognised internal auditor qualification
  • Advanced Environmental Management certification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management)
