About the role

  • Regulatory Affairs Specialist ensuring compliance and strategic oversight at Multiverse. Drafting regulatory submissions and coordinating oversight processes within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and Submissions: Create the first drafts of critical regulatory submissions (e.g., sections of our Degree Awarding Powers assessment, OfS Self-Assessment) for review.
  • Internal Advisory: Act as the “human line of response" for the business on regulatory questions. You will research and provide initial advice on regulatory queries.
  • Stakeholder Management & Coordination: Act as the central driver for cross-functional regulatory requirements. You will manage, chase, and coordinate stakeholders across the business.
  • Oversight Management: Audit and monitor our oversight committees to ensure compliant operations.
  • Risk Intelligence: Analyse internal data trends to spot emerging regulatory risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
  • AI Tooling and Knowledge Management: Set up and maintain our Regulatory Affairs AI Tooling.
  • Policy Auditing: Audit relevant policies to ensure they remain compliant, viable, and aligned with current expectations.
  • Provision Oversight and Reporting: Act as a key point person for Provision Oversight Reviews.
  • Project Management: Own the planning lifecycle for returns.
  • Regulatory Meeting Preparation: Assist the Head of Regulatory Affairs with regulatory meeting preparation and data packs.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Experience interacting with, supporting, or auditing formal boards and committees.
  • Proven experience working within a regulated environment (e.g., Legal, Education, Financial Services or Healthcare).
  • Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and distill dense regulatory guidance or policy into clear, actionable business requirements and robust submissions.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation (Excel/Google Sheets, pivot tables).
  • Hands-on experience or strong technical curiosity for setting up and managing knowledge bases, CRM systems, or AI-driven tools (e.g., Wordsmith, Cassidy, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
  • Strong organisational skills for planning lifecycle for annual returns.
  • Excellent drafting and writing skills.
  • A strong interest or technical proficiency in AI, knowledge management, and the regulatory landscape.
