About the role
- Financial Reporting Accountant supporting Marine, Mission Systems and Nuclear teams within Finance Business Services. Delivering statutory accounts, compliance reporting, and improving finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver statutory accounts and oversee compliance reporting
- Prepare and support information required for corporation tax returns
- Support the implementation of statutory accounts software
- Ensure timely responses to Internal and External Audit requests
- Strengthen finance processes, policies and controls across the FBS team
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant or QBE/AAT with relevant experience, or audit experience in Practice seeking an industry move (Part Qual considered)
- Strong technical finance skills, able to interpret accounting principles and prepare statutory accounts
- Experience reviewing and improving finance processes
- Confident user of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Outlook
