About the role
- Data Engineer working on the design and implementation of innovative data warehousing solutions for sustainable mobility. Collaborating with teams to ensure high data quality and robust pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Design and migration of an innovative data warehouse using tools such as Coalesce.io, Databricks and IDMC
- Definition and development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build and operation of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and tests
- Introduction of new technologies, services and best practices in data integration and data management
- Implementation and monitoring of mechanisms to ensure high data quality
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration with various departments (BI, IT Security, Operations)
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with Azure Data Factory, Spark/Databricks (PySpark/SQL), Delta Lake/Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, analytics modeling (e.g., star schema, Power BI) and orchestration
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and development of data-driven products
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Confident in building ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style, with excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
