Responsibilities
- Support process for powertrain control requirements development
- Design, simulate, implement, debug, test and research control and estimation algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems in powertrain systems
- Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes
- Develop the Software and Controls for the electrified powertrain
Requirements
- Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent)
- Automotive engineering knowledge / experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems
- Experience of automotive control systems software development, data logging and calibration tools
- Proficient in MS office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team
- Driving license valid for driving in the UK
- Experience in electrified powertrain area (Preferable)
- Knowledge in machine learning, AI algorithms and predictive control systems (Preferable)
- A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet (Preferable)
- Awareness of ISO 26262 and ASPICE (Preferable)
- Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent (Preferable)
- Ability to work in an agile work environment (Preferable)
