About the role

  • UX Manager shaping the future of digital product experiences at Aviva Canada. Leading UX strategy, team management, and ensuring design excellence for users managing policies and claims.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve UX strategy for signed-in experiences
  • Ensure experiences are consistent, scalable, and aligned with enterprise design systems and brand standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop UX team members
  • Oversee UX work, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Partner with Product Management to shape roadmaps and prioritize work
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately
  • Champion research-driven design by leveraging customer feedback and analytics
  • Drive continuous improvement of design practices
  • Contribute to UX standards and governance practices

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in UX, product design, or service design
  • At least 2 years in a people-management role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your work
  • Proven experience designing authenticated or account-based digital experiences, in insurance, financial services, or enterprise products & services
  • Strong understanding of UX best practices, user-centered methods, and accessibility standards
  • Experience with a range of research methods, including multi-variate testing
  • Experience working in complex, regulated environments
  • Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Optional but beneficial experience: Experience with analytics and experimentation tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level design systems
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset
