About the role
- Senior Accountant managing a team handling accounting for a northern Germany company cluster. Leading projects and collaborating with departments in a dynamic health and pharmaceuticals company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting for the northern Germany company cluster
- Responsible for statutory/legal reporting
- Manage and lead your team
- Lead or participate in finance-related projects
- Work closely with other departments across the organization
- Serve as the link between Avia Pharma Group and the local accounting team
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance/accounting with at least 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong professional knowledge of accounting and tax regulations and extensive experience with accounting systems and Excel (the northern Germany company cluster currently uses Sage)
- Experience in people leadership and a passion for coaching and developing staff
- Very good German and fluent written and spoken English
- Interest in lean operations and process optimization
- It is an advantage if you have:
- • Worked in a large company with well-developed, modern processes
- • Experience with audits
- • Prior experience with direct reports
- • Experience in a regulated industry (pharma/medtech/OTC)
