About the role

  • Transport Planner/Engineer working with a national pipeline of complex transport projects in New Zealand. Delivering multimodal solutions in collaboration with clients and specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planning and engineering inputs across multimodal corridor, public transport and state highway projects
  • Prepare investment cases, options analysis, and reporting that is illustrative in nature but evidence-based
  • Contribute to multimodal design development: corridor layouts, cross-sections, intersection modelling inputs, bus, walk and cycle and freight user analysis
  • Work directly with clients (AT, NZTA, councils) on project workshops, presentations and technical discussions
  • Support urban integration and movement/placemaking assessments on major programmes (e.g. City Centre masterplan)
  • Collaborate with internal specialists across safety, modelling, urban design, and engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in transport planning and/or transport engineering
  • Strong technical capability in data and analytics, transport assessments and/or investment case development
  • Experience working on multimodal or public transport projects in New Zealand (or similar contexts internationally)
  • Ability to work in complex stakeholder environments and communicate clearly
  • Genuine passion for the transport sector and for shaping people-centred, movement-led places.
