About the role

Responsibilities

  • You will act as a trusted, pragmatic HR operator across the business, with responsibility for delivering end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance processes, learning and development management and coordination, and employee lifecycle management
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employees, providing clear, commercially grounded advice in a dynamic environment
  • Supporting the implementation of people programs and change initiatives, adapting as priorities shift while maintaining a sharp focus on excellence and delivery
  • Ensuring policies, processes, and systems are compliant and fit-for-purpose
  • Championing a culture aligned to Aula Energy’s values, pace, and high-performance standards
  • Identifying and delivering practical improvements to HR processes and employee experience including opportunities for automation and AI
  • Overseeing compliant pay, time, and attendance in a disciplined governance setting

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a hands-on HR generalist or HR Manager role, ideally in fast-paced, project-driven, or sponsor-backed environments
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in high-change contexts, where priorities can shift and judgement and stakeholder engagement matters
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and confidence operating within a well-governed organisation
  • The maturity to balance pace with discipline, and autonomy with alignment
  • Comfort working with a governance model that expects clear thinking, practical solutions, and follow-through
  • Experience in management consulting or similarly high-tempo environments (highly regarded)
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach
  • A genuine interest in building inclusive, engaged, high-performance cultures
  • Resilience, adaptability, and sound judgement when navigating ambiguity or competing demands
