Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor team members, embedding a culture of accountability and high performance
  • Implement structured training, induction, and development programmes aligned to clear career pathways
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs and drive measurable improvements in quality and turnaround times
  • Build a strong “right-first-time” culture using error management frameworks, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and FCA regulatory requirements
  • Oversee work allocation and resource planning to ensure resilience across peaks and absences
  • Act as the key liaison with Financial Planners, Paraplanners, and cross-functional teams
  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of client and planner data, producing regular reports for leadership
  • Champion digital adoption, workflow standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in financial services
  • Strong industry knowledge and regulatory awareness
  • Demonstrable experience in performance management and team development
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to identify and embed efficiencies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style
  • High attention to detail and ability to work with data and reporting
  • Confident systems and technology user
  • Industry qualifications (desirable)
  • Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) (desirable)
  • Workflow design and optimisation expertise (desirable)
  • Project delivery support (desirable)
  • Practical knowledge of error management frameworks (desirable)
